Starting Handles

Rick - Wednesday, 25 May 2011 10:40

Today we put handles on kitchen knives. Tommy was making guards for some stacked leather handled knives we’ve been working on. I will start shaping the handles tomorrow. I got a call today about setting up at a store in Pigeon Forge, TN at the Red Roof Mall near the ice cream shop, this weekend if the weather is good. I’ll keep you posted on what happens. Talk to you tomorrow. – Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Posting From Phone

Rick - Tuesday, 24 May 2011 05:00

I don’t know if this going to work, I’m trying this from my phone so bare with me. Today was a productive day. I finished up a handle that I was working on earlier this week. Tommy was gone so the shop was left to my self. With that being said the country music was blasting and I was a happy knife maker today. Talk to you tomorrow. – Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Gatlinburg

Rick - Monday, 23 May 2011 11:01

One of the last things I talked about was delivering some knives last Friday. That went very well and went off like clockwork which doesn’t normally happen. Anyway, last summer we won a free two stay in Gatlinburg which we kinda forgot about until recently. Needless-to-say we took a couple of days off and went to the mountains. It was very relaxing and well worth it. Time to go back to work. Talk to you tomorrow.

Truck Problems

Rick - Thursday, 19 May 2011 09:01

This day started out good. I got the knives all cleaned up like I wanted to and they are ready to be delivered tomorrow. I was pretty happy that they went so well. Then Tommy decided he wanted to change his valve cover gasket that I been telling him about forever. That’s when my day got longer. Not only could we not find the proper tools to use but we blew out the first gasket. That means we had to go and ask the neighbor fore a ride to the auto parts store to get a new one. Tomorrow will be a great day. Talk to you later.
